This Battersea garden was excavated and transformed, three different natural stone selections were used to complement the yellow London stock brickwork.

This Victorian staircase was completely restored, new African Mahogany newels were designed and turned, Sapele handrails were ramped and wreathed as they were originally.

Planning and Conservation

We have consultants on board who will guide your project through the relevant planning processes and will represent your building project with the council on your behalf.

Building Regulations

Building control is required for any structural changes to your home. We have strong relationships with the local council planning officers and can guide you through the building application process.

Design something different

We are sometimes constrained on the exterior of our homes but we should make the most of the available technologies on the inside here are some suggestions.

  • Wet rooms that work.
  • Polished concrete floors.
  • Polished plaster.
  • Beautiful hardwood, solid or veneered for bespoke furniture.
  • LED lighting, add some colour
  • Bespoke staircases in any material.
  • Replace your worn victorian tiles with new, and heat them.
  • Under floor heating, electric or hydraulic.

Building a greener future

We are fully committed to addressing the energy efficiency of your home and work closely with Part L and F of the current building regulations to make sure where possible we meet the required standards. We are very happy to discuss new technologies and advise the most efficient route.

People

All of our tradesmen have the relevant industry qualifications and are fully insured through Londonbuild Ltd. We have very high standards and only recruit people we have come to trust in the industry.

Materials

We use the highest grade materials as we believe quality is paramount. All of our softwood timber comes from sustainable forests and only the correct grades will be used for the application at hand.

Who We Are

Londonbuild was formed in the early 1990s and we have since been active in South West London. We have a loyal client base and are longstanding members of the  Federation of Master Builders, Warrantied Builders and have been vetted for the Trustmark Scheme.

Seathan Smith, the Director, personally oversees every project from conception to sign off. We ensure there is a dedicated supervising foreman on site at all times and recognise that regular client communications are key to successful delivery of every project regardless of its size.

We specialise in side return extensions, rear extensions, lofts and are happy to literally move the earth for you and create the basement space you require.  We are expert kitchen and bathroom installers and have delivered many high quality bespoke carpentry solutions. Although we specialise in the domestic market we also have experience with commercial retail fittouts and office refurbishments.
